Match Report: Arsenal 4-2 Leicester City

The Gunners prevail in a chaotic victory over the Foxes:   Man of the Match: Gabriel Jesus (9.6/10) Today's victory shows how Mikel Arteta has very clearly addressed the flaws from the win against Crystal Palace last week. The Gunners' played in a style perhaps only describable as "Structured Chaos", consistency troubled the Leicester defences, this time for the whole 90.  The match started off with good football from both sides and saw a very good attempt from Wesley Fofana in the 5th minute. Loss of possession by Granit Xhaka due to a good tackle by Fofana saw Vardy thread a ball through to the French defender, only for Aaron Ramsdale to save it. Our right flank was uncharacteristically quiet but the lack of threat from the right was made up by a dominant and ruthless left wing performance by Gabriel Martinelli (who was, in my opinion, the second best player on the pitch). Match Report: Crystal Palace 0-2 Arsenal

Arsenal beat the Eagles by 2 goals to nil: Man of the Match: William Saliba (8.7/10) The Arsenal secure a shaky, but solid 3 points in the opening game of the season against Crystal Palace. The story of the match is a tale of 2 halves. The first half saw the Gunners off to a blistering start and they were by every measure the team on top. A fantastic dribble by star-signing Gabriel Jesus saw him get a shot at goal, which deflected and fell to his fellow Brazilian, Gabriel Martinelli only for him to embarrassingly miss a very clear chance.  A well worked corner routine however, saw Martinelli head the ball past Vincente Guaita giving Oleksandr Zinchenko his first assist (and goal contribution) for the Gunners. After this goal however, the most glaring flaw of Mikel Arteta's men was on display. The players got very comfortable after scoring and did not push to score their second while they were ahead.
